STATESBORO SHUCKIN' SHACK SUCCEEDS AT 'SHUCK U'

When it comes to operating a new Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar, we have our own way of doing things developed over the past 11 years and across a dozen restaurant locations. Even if you have decades of experience managing restaurants or owning your own pub, our business systems must be successfully learned by all franchisees and their management staff as well. There are simply no exceptions to this rule.

And while our new Statesboro Georgia franchisees have multi-unit restaurant franchise experience, their entire team spent a lot of time during phase three of our Shuckin’ Shack University (Shuck U) training recently. A few photos below show the franchisees and their new managers working with our training team and local managers within our new Downtown Wilmington flagship restaurant.

“The Shuckin’ Shack has revamped its training material concentrating on the Culture and the Lifestyle that makes us unique in the Franchise Industry.”

— Jonathan Weathington, Shuckin' Shack Franchising CEO

With our first Georgia restaurant scheduled to open later this year, this new management team is nearly ready to offer “The Shack” experience to Statesboro residents from day one. If you are looking for multi-unit restaurant opportunities in Georgia next year, our team is actively interviewing potential partners for Atlanta. ALL 12 SHUCKIN' SHACK'S WEATHER HURRICANE FLORENCE

Last week was a crazy week for the majority of our Shuckin’ Shack franchisees! Hurricane Florence made landfall between our Carolina Beach and Surf City locations while making it’s way toward our Downtown Wilmington restaurant and franchise offices. After days of heavy winds and nearly two feet of rain, we’re happy to report that all of our crew members are safe and only a few of our locations suffered minor damages.

The vast majority of our restaurants have already re-opened, but please check the Facebook page for “the Shack” nearest you to double check hours of operation and menu limitations. For the few restaurants that did suffer the most damage, like Carolina Beach (see photos below), we still expect that nearly all locations will be re-opened soon, pending the opening of necessary roadways to receive our supplies of fresh seafood.

If you love the idea of operating your own Shuckin’ Shack restaurant franchise but have fears of tropical storms interrupting your business, we have a multi-unit franchise opportunity in Columbus, OH! We’re actively looking for the right partners for our 2019 expansion into Ohio! Watch the brief video on this page and request our free franchise information kit!

SHUCKIN' SHACK AT TAMPA FRANCHISE EXPO THIS WEEKEND

Just weeks after we announced the news about our first few Florida markets, in Ocala, Lake City and Spring Hill, the Shuckin' Shack franchise development team will be back in Tampa, Florida this weekend! Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar & Sports Pubs will be an exhibitor within The Franchise Show taking place this Friday (11am-5pm) and Saturday (11am-5pm) at the Tampa Convention Center. Our VP of Franchise Development, Mario Piccinin, took a bit of time over the Labor Day Holiday to record this quick video for the event offering free expo passes!

If you would like to learn more about our multi-unit restaurant franchise opportunities within Tampa, please visit this special page and request our Franchise Information Kit!  Also, if you are attending The Franchise Show, be sure to ask Mario about our other target markets in Jacksonville and Orlando, FL!

BUSTING THE OYSTERS DURING "R" MONTHS MYTH

As we observe Labor Day this weekend, and celebrate the unofficial end of Summer and the start of football season, some customers of "The Shack" ask us about oysters during the "R" months.

Ever since the first Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar was founded in Carolina Beach, NC eleven years ago, we've been battling the myth that people should only eat oysters during months that contain the letter "R".  While that means great business for our dozen restaurants over the next several months, we want to put an end to this theory.   This myths, at least for those of us living here in the good ol' United States, with commercial oyster raising standards and harvesting conditions, have zero basis in fact.

If you plan on traveling to Europe during the Spring or Summer of 2019, you might want to think twice, but we're happy to report and more than pleased to prove that oysters you get during the Summer months are equally good as those you can enjoy during the fall and winter months to come!  For a current list of all 12 Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bars currently operating in the Southeast, please visit our consumer website by clicking here!

While several new Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bars coming to South Carolina in 2019, we are still searching for a strong franchise partner for the Columbia market.  If you, or someone you know, is considering restaurant franchise opportunities for the new year, please Share this special video link and have them request our free franchise brochure!
